The First Disney Baby Store Arrival Showers Military Families

We’re as proud as parents to welcome our first Disney Baby Store, which “arrives” today in Glendale, California, at The Americana on Brand.

The premier Disney Baby Store and online boutique, at, provide an exclusive array of high-quality products organized around the moments of Baby’s day. A selection of Disney Baby products is also available within Disney Store locations nationwide.

At Disney Baby, our goal is to provide parents with one-of-a-kind products that help them celebrate everyday moments with their children. But for American servicemen and women, who risk their lives overseas, we know these special, everyday moments with Baby can be few and far between.

As a thank you to these servicemen and their families, Disney Baby is hosting a baby shower at the new Disney Baby Store for 20 military families with the help of Operation Shower, a non-profit organization that provides joyful baby showers for military families to ease the stress of deployment.

Military honorees and their guests will start off the day with a bit of well-deserved pampering, including reflexology massages. They’ll also enjoy a high tea, Disney Baby-themed activities, and special gifts from Disney Baby Store.

On the Americana lawn outside the store, a Disney Baby Magical Moments festival will feature Disney Baby products, demonstrations, and samples. More than 200 VIP guests will enjoy a performance by Blue Sky Riders (featuring Kenny Loggins, Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr) and character greetings from Winnie the Pooh and friends.

It promises to be a day of celebration, recognition, and fun! Just a small way we can give back to the military families who give so much.

The public is welcome to the Grand Opening celebration on September 8, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.! Winnie the Pooh will be there, and we’ll have gifts for the first 500 guests!

We’d love to know if charity played a part in your baby shower. Did you have a charitable component to your shower or make a donation in honor of the birth of your child? Let us know in the comments.
