I love a good craft, especially one that is quick, easy and useful. A couple of years ago, after longing for one of those fancy die-cut machines but never actually getting one after many hints around my birthday and Christmas time, I discovered the wonderful art of freezer paper stenciling. Now, it’s one of my very favorite craft mediums because it’s so versatile. Here, using freezer paper and some fabric paint, I created a cute little ghost bodysuit for my little guy, just in time for Halloween.

Gather Your Supplies
For this project you’ll need a bodysuit, a roll of freezer paper found at the grocery store, a print out of a simple ghost graphic, a pencil and razor blade, and some fabric paint and a paint brush. I prefer soft sponge brushes.
Begin by tracing your ghost outline onto your freezer paper.
Carefully cut out your ghost silhouette with your razor blade, making sure to also cut out the eyes and mouth.
On a medium heat setting, iron on your ghost cut out, making sure to include the eyes and mouth cut outs. Let cool before beginning the painting process, and make sure no edges are lifting up.
Now it’s time to paint. When painting on fabric, it’s best to apply the paint in a blotting motion, instead of a brushing motion, and apply 2 coats when painting white on black.
Once your paint is completely dry, carefully pull off your freezer paper stencil, and set your paint by ironing your design on a low setting.
Enjoy Your Work!
Now it’s time to dress up baby in your quick and cute creation and enjoy! Make sure to take lots of pictures and bonus points for taking your friendly little ghost to the pumpkin patch!
