I love vacationing with babies.
I know. Why would someone actually prefer vacationing with a baby vs. waiting until they’re older? Well, because of the many perks, of course! First off…
Babies fly free until the age of two. That saves you a ton of money.
You can bring a stroller to tote stuff around in. This means you don’t have to carry a ton of stuff, and it also provides the perfect place for baby to nap if you’re out and about.
You get to take naps! A baby will definitely need a nap at least once a day, so this means you get to nap too!
You’ll save money on food. Because we all know it costs way more to feed a growing preteen boy vs. a 1-year-old!
You don’t have to worry about taking them out of school. This means you don’t have to vacation during the busy season, which costs you less. We are actually in Florida right now, and I think early fall is the perfect time to come here!
You have an excuse to not go out super far into the ocean! Okay, this one is probably ridiculous, but it’s a legit reason for me. I have this silly fear of going too deep in the ocean, so this way, I have an excuse to stay on the sand. Haha.
You might just make some new friends. Turns out, people love to see adorable babies playing in the sand, and this causes the start up of conversation. We’ve made friends on vacation that we’ve kept in touch with over the years.
You’ll still get to enjoy some alone time with your significant other. Thankfully, babies sleep earlier than we do!
If you’re breastfeeding, you can feed your baby anytime, anywhere. This can make things so much easier.
I say all signs point to YES for going on as many vacations as you can with your baby while they are still small. The pros far outweigh the cons, so book that trip and have a blast! I know I will!
