This week my little firecracker turned 16 months old. Suddenly it feels like two is almost here. In reality I know it’s not. I’ve got 6 more months before there is no denying that I am indeed the mother of a toddler. For now, I enjoy the fact that I still call my baby a baby and more often than not I rock her to sleep and watch her chest rise and fall as she sleeps. This is the sweet spot. A time when she is still very much a baby yet embarking on uncharted waters – new words, gestures and milestones. Different. But also, so very sweet.
As we head into month 16 let’s take another look back at month 15. Here are a few favorite photos from my baby’s 15 month:
The day she turned 15-months-old (wide awake and playing with me after keeping mommy and daddy awake all night).
Cuddles with the Doc
Watching her favorite TV show with the star of the show.
Baby's 1st dentist appointment
Lola visiting the dentist for the 1st time. She did well; however, she was not a fan of the fluoride.
Admiring the Christmas tree with big sister.
Asleep in my arms
Rocking her to sleep is still one of my favorite things to do.
Playing in sister’s room while she is at school.
Keeping her cool in a sea of silliness.
Admiring all of the Christmas trees at the farm.
Making a difference
Visiting the food pantry to deliver joy with big sister.
Wearing the same Christmas pajamas as big sister.
Baby Meets Santa
This was Lola’s very first time meeting Santa!
These are just a few of my favorites (yes there are more!). You can see more photos of Lola on my Instagram @hismrshermr. Although I would love for things to slow down a bit I can’t wait to see what month 16 looks like.
