For the moment (and with two children, I feel certain that this moment will be very brief), my girls nap at the same time in the afternoon.
As a work-at-home mom, this two hour block in the afternoon is pretty precious to me to get all the things I need to done, so you might think that the hours between one and three are my favorite.
But actually, it’s 3:00, when naptime ends, that I love the most. I love getting my warm, rosy-cheeked girls out of their respective beds, shutting off the computer and feeling like work is done for the day (or at least until they go to bed).
I love the time to snuggle on the couch with a big stack of books, a toddler next to me and a baby on my lap. I love pulling out the baby carrier and a little tricycle and going for a walk. I like setting the baby up in her bouncer and the toddler on the counter and making a snack together.
Mainly, I just love that little window between naps and the evening rush toward dinner, baths, and bedtime when I focus solely on being the mommy.
