The moment I became a mother, I felt an instant connection to other mothers. Not only my own, but my friends that were moms and even strangers that I saw on the street. It was as if we have this unspeakable bond that will last a lifetime.
With this connection, I often went to my friends with children around the same age just so I could talk about the things going on in my life with my daughter. It felt so good to be able to express just how I was feeling and know that she knew exactly what I meant and had gone through something similar.
This month marks my fifth Mother’s Day. It will be my first spent with Macks. Although I feel like every day is Mother’s Day, this one will be extra special for me because my mom will also be here. In honor of Mother’s Day being nearly a week away, I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes on motherhood. These are ones that make me nod my head because I completely can relate to what they say.
I love this quote because my love for my children is never ending.
Gained So Much
I don’t think I ever look back and think that I am missing so much from before I had my children because I am so much happier with life now that I have them.
There is Only One
This is true not only as a mother myself, but as a daughter as well.
No One is Perfect
No matter how hard we try, we are never going to be “perfect” moms. But the love we have for our children makes us good moms.
They Are My Life
I always tell everyone that my life never really began until I had my children.
I learned so much about myself the first month that I became a mom.
My heart is so full with the love I have for my children.
Being a Mother
Being a mother is the best gift I have ever received.
Motherhood Has Challenges
Although some days are stressful, I wouldn’t trade any of them for anything.
I hope that my kids always see me as their super mom.
No matter how much (or little) sleep I get, motherhood has made me the happiest I have ever been.
Love that my children’s stories always begin with me.
A Mother's Arms
One of my favorite thing to do is have my children sleep in my arms just so I can sweetly stare at them while they are asleep. It’s so peaceful and comforting.
