Picky Baby vs. Christmas Dinner

Another holiday means another chance for our picky baby to try and reject more foods. In the end, we decided on sourdough bread instead of rolls, but the rest of the dinner we planned to enjoy for ourselves and impose upon our food-hating baby made it onto the table. We really didn’t expect Elvie to like anything other than the bread, and so the results of our efforts were not a surprise, but still produced some memorable faces. There was also an outfit change, as she demonstrated to us that the gagging skills she’d developed to rid her mouth and tummy of medicine could also be used on food. Lucky for all of us, there are no more holiday dinners in the near future, and therefore no temptation to see how the baby likes holiday fare. These faces are enough to last at least until Valentine’s Day, and we are content to follow her lead and let her just have the bottle and bread to hold if that’s all she wants for now.
