A Simple DIY Ladybug Birthday Party
Posted by Amy Heinz
It turns out my baby is officially no longer a baby. “Pink” turned 2 last week. For some reason I was obsessed with the idea of planning a ladybug party. The thing is, I’m not all that crafty. (Pinterest gives me major anxiety!) Oh, I’ve got big ideas, but I know that when it comes down to reality, I have to keep it simple. So I did. And it the party turned out to be the perfect way to celebrate my sweet little ladybug.
If I could do these things, just about anybody can. Really.

I always get excited when Casey is planning a party because I know the results will be amazing. The celebration she put together for her son Asher’s first birthday is no exception. With a subtle circus theme and a dose of color, it’s a great example of how to throw a stylish party without spending too much time or money and focusing on what’s most important – the birthday kid of course!

Let's Party | Vintage Fiesta First Birthday
Posted by Amnah Ibrahim
Sometimes our most outrageous ideas turn into the most awesome plans. While pregnant, Darci of The Good Life Blog, had a fun idea for her son’s first birthday. She managed to host a vintage-themed fiesta (Spanish for “party”) that was child friendly and in good taste. Never mind the fact that this isn’t a typical first birthday party theme, she executed everything perfectly. From the décor, favors, and the food — wait until you see what she did with the food, everything was muy bueno! Click through for great party inspiration that will have you saying “olé”!
Great take away points from this party include going with a fun theme that you enjoy, even though it may not have been done before. Though a “one” theme is popular, how about trying “un” in French or “ein” in German, for a fun spin? Don’t worry, there isn’t any one way to go about it.
