Baby Gift Ideas

My niece’s birthday is coming up and it’s a big one–she’s turning two, that magical age where baby turns into a little girl — and she is, of course, as my niece, one of the smartest and imaginative little girls I have ever met.
I love getting her presents, and for her birthday this year, I think there could be nothing more perfect than finding the perfect Disney vanity for her!

Since my husband and I are both Hispanic and live in Miami, we are trying our best to raise bilingual kids. It’s not easy since we are used to speaking English most of the time. My son is now at an age where he knows more English than Spanish and prefers to keep it that way. Every once in a while he will want to talk in Spanish but most of the time he refuses.

This past week I celebrated another birthday. It wasn’t a milestone number or a big party — it was simply turning 34. Although, there was one part of this birthday that set it apart from all the rest…so far.
It was my first birthday as a father. While I loved all the cards and gifts I received, without a doubt there was one that stood out above the rest.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to attend the sweetest farmer’s market inspired baby shower for my friend Meghan. It was so lovely that I asked the hostess, Mackenzie of Honeycomb Blog, if I could share it here at Disney Baby, and thankfully she agreed. It was such a beautiful party, but simple as well, which is always something I love. I hope you’ll enjoy it!

My sweet little girl has reached the point where she just wants to cuddle and nuzzle. At 3 months old, she’s aware of her surroundings and is actually quite vocal about her likes and dislikes. These super soft plush blankies would definitely illicit joyous coos and squeals from Amani.
At 10 inches by 10 inches, they’re the perfect size for little ones to reach for and cuddle with. Made of soft velour, they’ll lull your babe to sleep. Choose your favorite character from Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, or Simba, then personalize it with with your child’s name.
