In addition to being a writer at Disney Baby and Babble, something you might not know about it is that I’m also a freelance wardrobe stylist and one of my favorite muses for styling are little ones. I just love kid’s fashion and putting together cute outfits for my daughter is one of my favorite things. Plus…everything is so much cuter in small sizes, no? So today, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite baby shopping tips to help you put together (or update) your little one’s wardrobe, so you get the most bang for your buck when it comes to baby clothes!

Isabel is a year old now and loves Minnie Mouse. She gets so excited when she sees Minnie printed on t-shirts or on TV, so when we received the Minnie Mouse Celebration Potty System and Minnie Mouse sippy cups from the First Years, she was overjoyed.
When I gave her the sippy cup, she kept staring at it and pointing to Minnie’s face. I guess she couldn’t believe her favorite character was on her cup! I love that the cups are a breeze to clean. Often when I’m standing at the kitchen sink taking apart my kids’ sippy cups to wash, I just want to throw away all the pieces in frustration! But these cups are just two pieces – so much easier to clean than most sippy cups.
And then I showed Isabel the potty, and she sat right down with a huge grin on her face. I’m not sure she’s quite ready to potty train yet, but when she is, I’m sure she will love learning on this special potty seat. It has a special “flusher” on the side that says, “hip hip hooray!” when you pull it. My son had a fun time pushing the lever down to hear the sound effect. You can also detach the trainer seat to use on the family toilet when your little one is ready.
The potty seat and sippy cups are part of the Minnie gear available at Walmart now. Make sure you get yours!

If there is one thing you can never have enough of, it is mealtime supplies…especially bottles and sippy cups! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone to get my daughter something to drink or gone to make a bottle only to realize that we were totally out of bottles or cups. Washing a bottle while you have a kiddo crying nearby isn’t exactly the most fun ever. I do dishes a lot, but it never fails that we still run out from time to time. Little ones go through these things so quickly! But, thankfully Babies”R”Us has got you covered so you can stock up!

I let Baylor watch Finding Nemo for the first time a few days ago. He was mesmerized by the quirky cast and vibrant colors of the movie. The ocean is such a tranquil setting. What better way than to coax your babe into some sweet zzz’s than with some Finding Nemo décor?
