Fun in the Sun Ideas for Baby

Soapy Swim
“We set up a kiddie pool in the backyard. As a baby my son didn’t like bath time, but he loved being outside in that kiddie pool. We’d fill it with warm soapy water to help kill two birds with one stone!” - Jane F.

“There’s an outdoor mall near our house that has fountains that spout water up from the ground. As an infant my son loved just watching them, but now that he has started walking and the weather is really warm I let him run through them. On a hot day I walk him home in the stroller and by the time we get back he’s all dried off!” - Cerena V.
Aquarium Adventure
“We love playing outside, but when the temperature gets too high, one of my favorite places to go with my son Gabe during the summer is the Adventure Aquarium. It’s actually inside with air conditioning so it’s a nice way to beat the heat. We have a yearly pass so all I have to pay for is parking. It’s a great way to spend a hot summer day.” - Meri D.

“The moms in my neighborhood make it a point to schedule regular play dates at our local park during the summer months. Even when the babies are super small they get a kick out of laying on blankets in the grass with their buddies. It’s a great way to be social and get outside.” - Rochelle S.
