A Cheery, Eclectic Nursery

If it hasn’t been apparent from other nurseries I’ve featured, I’m really attracted to spaces with an eclectic mix. Rooms with character. Nothing too perfect or too matchy-matchy. So when I came across this nursery on Beetleshack (via The Alison Show) it jumped out to me right away. I love the layers, textures and the way it jumps from bees to a colorful geometric rug without batting an eye. What do you think?

Emily had the bee decals custom made and then simply adhered them to the wall. I love the metallic pattern.

The dresser was several years old and updated with a coat of paint and new handles. I love the layered decor on top.

My favorite part of the room is all the spots of yellow. That colorful rug is pretty fab too.

Even the changing table gets a bit of decor with a geometric garland hanging down.

It’s always nice to have a spot for Mom to sit in the nursery. The cheeky face pillow makes me laugh.

I’m sure the decor on the wall was well thought out, but it looks effortless. I like the off-kilter placing and mix of decor.
