30 Minutes with Baby: Create a ready-to-sleep routine that your baby can rely on before naps and bedtime. First dim the lights, close all curtains and snuggle close. Then choose any combination of these tried and true favorites: introduce a lovie (soft blanket or toy she can hold), play one special song, and read a book or two. Try to stick with your routine every time so your baby knows what to expect. That confidence will help her get to sleep faster, almost every time.
30 Minutes with Baby: Fill the nursery with pictures of your baby along with friends and family members near and far. Include a variety of stages, seasons and holidays, too. Show your baby each one, explaining who he’s with, where he is, what he’s doing and so on. Every time you add a new photo, show him again.
