Game On: Best Baby Shower Games
By Kelly Bryant
Let’s be honest…there are a lot of shower games out there that are, well, a bit tired. Ditch those not-so-fun diversions and suggest a couple of these games recommended by real moms and experienced shower-goers! And don’t forget to check out these baby shower games over at our sister site, Babyzone.com.

Baby Shower Bingo
“I like playing baby shower bingo while the mom is opening up the baby gifts, especially when there are a lot of guests in attendance. After the 10th or 11th gift oohing and aahing can get boring and bingo keeps me interested — not to mention competitive!” - Kellie M.

Celebrity Baby Name
“I like the game where you have to match the baby name to the corresponding celebrity parents. I win every time!” - Debbie A.

Multitasking Mama
“I love the clothes pin game where you have to rock the baby doll, talk on the phone and pick clothes pins off of a clothing line all at the same time. That one is so much fun and everyone gets involved.” - Kellyanne O.

Don't Say "Baby"!
“I’ve thrown two showers lately and we included the game where you can’t say the word ‘baby,’ which is really fun if your guests are competitive. It doesn’t really put people on the spot like some other games but it keeps everyone on their toes!” - Becky C.

Product-palooza
“An easy game that I think is fun is handing out index cards to each guest and asking them to write down all of the baby items they can think of in sixty seconds. Whoever names the most items wins.” - Lisa K.

Who's That Lady?
“For my shower, my sister asked all of my guests to email her a baby photo of themselves before the party. She numbered each photo and put them on a poster for everyone to see at the shower. Whoever was able to correctly identify the most baby pictures won. It actually helped the guests get to know each other.” - Mary S.

Sweet Memory
“The baby ‘Memory’ game is a fun one. Tape the tops of numbered, pastel-colored index cards to foam board. On each card write a baby-related word. Make sure to use each word twice. Each guest takes a turn guessing two numbers to try to find a match. Flip the cards up to reveal the words. Keep the game going until the matches are found. Prizes should correspond to the word. For example, if someone uncovers the matching cards that say ‘twins,’ that person receives a pack of Doublemint gum. For ‘son’ you can use Junior Mints, ‘daughter’ can be a Baby Ruth, ‘hospital bill’ could be a 100 Grand Bar, etc.” - Kimberly U.

Money Talk
“Have everyone bring some change to the party. The host picks out a piggy bank. Then you ask questions that can be anything like, ‘Have you ever traveled to Paris?’. For every question you answer yes to, you put money in the bank. You can make it as cutesy or as funny as you want, depending on who is in attendance!” - Ashley C.

Co-ed Fun
“For co-ed showers, I think it’s so fun to make a game out of having the men diaper and dress a baby doll. They so rarely have to go to these kinds of things that it’s kind of fun to put them on the spot!” - Carolina P.

For the Future…
“I didn’t allow games at my shower but something fun that everyone did was sign cards for my future daughter’s 1st, 5th, 10th, 13th, 16th and 18th birthdays. The notes my guests wrote in those are already so fun to read!” - Shannan C.
