Baby Paul just got back from his first ever spring break vacation, and whoa boy, was it one for the record books (or at least, his baby book).
From epic car rides through the mountains to the shore, to eating crackers straight off the beach (no literally, straight out of the sand), baby Paul truly lived spring break to the fullest!
Spring break, through the eyes of Baby Paul:
Life on the beach, baby style!
One week. Lots of sand and sun. Spring Break 2013, through the eyes of a baby…
Put the pedal to the metal, daddy-o!
Know how many naps it takes to get from Indiana to Florida? Eleventy-bajillion, that’s how many! Seriously, I started to lose track of my days and nights, and my sleep schedule got all wiggity whacked out of shape.
Get me out of here!
I mean, this is so fun! I typically love the water, but this pool is a wee bit cold on my baby bits. Also, SISTERBOMB, get out of my spotlight…
And then I resort to using a footstool a table
The first night of vacation was spent in a tiny hotel room with all six of my family members (a story for a whole different day). And yes, they made me eat my dinner off an ottoman, because I’m the baby.
Every morning starts just the same
Once we finally got to the beach, we started every morning with a brisk walk up and down the beach. My siblings look from shells, and I get to roll in my chariot like a king. I think I win.
This is my mom trying to be witty
So last year we didn’t go on spring break because I was a newborn and “too much work”. Look at me now, I don’t fit so good in her belly anymore!
Balls, balls, balls
The only way I would even consider staying on the beach all day long like these grownups request of me is if I had a healthy supply of balls to play with. Lucky for them, balls balls balls are everywhere!
Beach buds, for the moment
In this photo, my big brother and I are having a super fun time playing together. Two seconds later, he pitched a handful of sand in my direction! Not cool bro, so not cool.
Can somebody give me a hand?
Honestly people, this hat is too big! Yet you insist I wear it all day long. At least I look cool…
Wide load, coming through!
When we stroll down the street, people take notice! Probably because we leave little room for anyone else to pass by…
Every night before bed we would cuddle up as a family on the sofa and watch a bit of TV. See, we don’t have TV at home, so watching TV was almost as cool as hanging out on the beach!
Sunset with the cousins
My same aged (but totally taller) cousin came on vacation with us. Watching the sun set over the ocean is definitely something I could get used to. Hey look, there’s my aunt getting proposed to on the beach!
