Do you ever get to the end of you day and think, “What the heck did I do today?!” I’m asking myself that a lot more often now that I have a baby. So I challenged myself to keep the camera out and document Beck’s day that no doubt involves me during all his waking moments. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed doing it. It really helped me try out new angles with the camera and open my eyes up to the joy of the little mundane moments. I want to make it a regular goal to do this every couple months or so. I think it would be fun for Beck to see when he grows up.
Without further ado, a peek into the life of Beck R. Blodgett, age 5 months.
A (usually) pleasant wake up babble begins around 7:30. His coos are a much better sound to wake up to than an alarm clock. And he always welcomes me with a kick and a smile.
He’s probably most excited to see me because that means breakfast is soon. Accompanied by morning snuggles.
Now that he’s good and full, the morning diaper change involves a lot of kicks and some happy naked time.
Beck clearly loves having milestone photo shoots with me.
Then we get some fresh air and go for a morning run. Beck is extremely mellow in the stroller. He kind of just stares blankly taking it all in.
About two hours after waking up, it’s time for a short morning nap.
Beck lets me know when it’s time to eat again.
I kid you not, Beck kicks and makes noises whenever we enter Target. I like to believe he likes it as much as I do.
Tuckered out after running errands, Beck crashes for a couple hours.
He gets fed after his nap and then wants to roll around and play for a while. It’s probably the happiest time of day.
After a short 3rd nap, dad gets home and then takes Beck with him for a little outing while mom stays and takes a break.
After a little snack to top him off, Beck gets snuggled in for the rest of the night. He’s a champ sleeper.
