Momgineer Tip #17
“I always have objects on the changing table they can play with while we dress. I talk them through what we’re doing so they will stay engaged, know what comes next and learn some new words.”

Treat Basket
30 Seconds with Baby: If you’ve got a wiggler, try a small basket of toys on the changing table. Before you lean him back, let him dig through and find something to play with while you’re getting his clothes on. Then make it snappy. Even the best toy can only hold off a jiggler for so long!

Sing It
30 Minutes with Baby: Since most toddlers are restless when it comes to putting on clothes, make up a song that goes with your getting dressed routine. Your voice will help keep her attention and if you match your words with your actions — the right arm goes in the right sleeve, if you please — she’ll learn handy how-to vocabulary, too.
