How to Create a Jungle Book Nursery

The Jungle Book was one of my all-time favourite Disney movies when I was a child. I watched it over and over again, memorizing the songs and cringing each and every time Kaa slithered his way around Mowgli. It’s funny because my children have yet to see the film and I was just telling my husband the other day, that I was going to try and find the movie for them. Funny enough, Disney is about to re-release the film on DVD and Blu-ray disc on February 11, 2014.

In celebration of this release, Disney Baby created a special nursery collection that includes everything you’ll need to transform your baby’s room into a scene from the beloved movie. I’m in love with the heirloom Junior toy and the lamp is such a cute touch. From bedding to decor, they truly thought of everything!

Introducing ~ The New Rapunzel Baby Collection

If you haven’t seen the movie Tangled, you’re missing out. When I took the kids to the theatres for the first time to watch this film, I wasn’t expecting to fall head over heels in love with the storyline. Neither was my husband. We laughed (and cried) along with our girls and became instant fans of Rapunzel and Flynn.

We were the first ones in line to purchase the movie when it was released on DVD, and my girls and their brother have watched it over and over again.

While browsing through the Disney Store the other day, I noticed that Disney Baby just released a brand new Rapunzel baby fashion line. The collection includes six interchangeable outfit options that are oh-so-adorable! Go ahead and take a look. Let me know what you think!

Twice Upon a Year Sale ~ Save Up To 60%!

I thought that I was finished shopping. Christmas has come and gone, we picked up a few things on Boxing Day and now… well, now my son’s pants don’t fit. It happened overnight. One day they fit perfectly and the next, the hems were sitting above his ankles.

Babies and toddlers grow even faster than kids, so it’s good to have a couple of larger sizes ready to go beforehand. I was smart enough to buy shirts in a size 3T for my son last year during some end-of-season sales which he’s wearing now! You’ll save a lot of time and money in the long run if you take advantage of sales for next year’s (or next month’s) growth spurt.

The Disney Store has a great sale going on right now where lots of their clothes are up to 60% off. In addition, if your order totals $75 or more you can receive free shipping with coupon code: SHIPMAGIC.

Here are some of my favourite pieces from this huge sale!

The One Material Thing That I Want in 2014

I recently wrote an entire list of 20 things that I want/don’t want in my life for 2014. They were all personal things, ones that have to do with life and family. What I didn’t list was the actual material things that I want for this year. The list isn’t very long, but it does include a certain bag that I’ve had my eye on for the past three years.

I’ve mentioned it before, but in case you aren’t familiar with Dooney & Burke’s partnership with Disney Parks, I wanted to introduce you to it. Although there are plenty of different bags in this collection, the Disney Sketch Large Shopper is my absolute favorite. The bag features Disney Parks icon pattern including Mickey Mouse, Tinker Bell, and other characters as well as the Disneyland and Walt Disney World banners. There are lots of pockets inside the full lined bag and the golden hardware adds a touch of glam.

Thanks to the size, I could still fit my son’s toys and diapers inside and it would be the perfect bag to tote around Walt Disney World Resort. Now if I can only save up!

Disney Classic Friends ~ My New Discovery!

If I’m faced with the choice of a newer toy or a retro one, I always go for the latter. The classic toys from yesteryear have such a nostalgic feel to them that makes you feel all warm and cozy inside.

A couple of weeks ago, while browsing for gifts, I came across these Disney Classic Dolls. Not quite sure how long they’ve been around but they seem new. These toddler dolls are inspired by the nostalgic Disney past. This adorable Mickey Mouse version comes with mouse ears, rain boots and a 50′s style outfit that I’m in love with. It’s available now through Toys “R” Us.

The Winnie the Pooh inspired doll is oh so adorable and comes with her own set of bear ears that sit on top of her curly blond hair. Her dress is so sweet with it’s floral details! This one is also available through Toys”R”Us.
