The Most Popular Baby Names In The United States ~ Official List
It’s out! The U.S. Social Security Administration released their Most Popular Baby Names List last week and Jacob and Sophia rank #1 on the list for yet another year. Chloe and Daniel have dropped out of the top ten with Elizabeth and Liam replacing them. Elizabeth has made the list in the past however, this is the first time Liam has broken into the top 10.
Social Security began compiling their list of baby names back in 1997 and now offers lists of names for each and every year since 1880. It is currently America’s most popular source for baby names.
I am quite curious as to how many parents use this list as a guide to name their own children, or as one to steer clear from. When it comes to baby names, is unique best or does popularity rank rule?
Merida Is Officially Crowned Making Her The 11th Disney Princess
It’s official! During a magical ceremony at Walt Disney World Resort, Merida, from the Disney·Pixar’s Academy Award® winning film, “Brave,” was welcomed into the Disney Princess Royal Court and crowned the 11th Disney Princess.
Hundreds of park guests looked on as Merida was led in by a troop of Scottish dancers and an authentic pipe and drum band. Instead of the traditional horse-and-carriage arrival and in true Merida fashion (of course) she made her own path, making her way to Cinderella’s Castle. The event was a touching moment between mother and daughter as Queen Elinor crowned Merida. The super adorable British singers and TV personalities of “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, Sophie Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland, took to the stage for a performance all their own. It was most definitely an event to remember! Here are some of the highlights from the festivities.
