Family quotes. They encourage us, inspire and shine a light on areas of our lives that we may be too busy to see on a regular basis.
The days zoom by so fast you may feel as though you are front and center on your very own racetrack. It’s easy to forget about the good things, the important things. I’m the first to admit that there are many times that I get so caught up with work, errands and chores that I don’t have time to live in the moment with my own family. I look at the day after it’s ended, when those little ones are asleep in their bed.
Quotes are nuggets of wisdom that tend to put us back on track. They refresh, rejuvenate and prepare us for a new day with a brand new outlook in place. Family IS the most important thing. Click through for 10 reasons why from some of the most intelligent and inspiring individuals of our time.
Did you know that Mickey Mouse’s teddy bear Duffy has a story all his own? While visiting Walt Disney World last month with our family, we had the chance to meet Duffy in person and learn how he became Mickey’s B.F.F.
I’m going to be completely honest here… I had no idea who Duffy was until just recently. I’ve heard his name a few times, but assumed he was a character from elsewhere. Let’s just say that our recent trip was very educational because now I am fully informed as to who this little bear is and the history behind him.
Before you click through for the story of Duffy, pray tell – is this the first time you’ve ever heard about Duffy Bear or am I the only one who was in the dark?
Vintage fashions, books, toys and gifts appeal to me on a larger scale than regular versions of the same products. There is something about the past that evokes feelings of a time gone by when life was simplistic and everyday design was the epitome of classic elegance.
The Hallmark Company has been working magic and touching the hearts of so many with their words for over 90 years so it really is quite fitting that they should partner with Disney Baby on this adorable collection.
If you or anyone you know has a baby shower coming up, this 7-piece collection should definitely be on their radar! Photo albums, picture frames and vintage plush characters have been designed with a subtle colorway and a hint of nostalgia. It’s out! The U.S. Social Security Administration released their Most Popular Baby Names List last week and Jacob and Sophia rank #1 on the list for yet another year. Chloe and Daniel have dropped out of the top ten with Elizabeth and Liam replacing them. Elizabeth has made the list in the past however, this is the first time Liam has broken into the top 10.
Social Security began compiling their list of baby names back in 1997 and now offers lists of names for each and every year since 1880. It is currently America’s most popular source for baby names.
I am quite curious as to how many parents use this list as a guide to name their own children, or as one to steer clear from. When it comes to baby names, is unique best or does popularity rank rule?
It’s official! During a magical ceremony at Walt Disney World Resort, Merida, from the Disney·Pixar’s Academy Award® winning film, “Brave,” was welcomed into the Disney Princess Royal Court and crowned the 11th Disney Princess.
Hundreds of park guests looked on as Merida was led in by a troop of Scottish dancers and an authentic pipe and drum band. Instead of the traditional horse-and-carriage arrival and in true Merida fashion (of course) she made her own path, making her way to Cinderella’s Castle. The event was a touching moment between mother and daughter as Queen Elinor crowned Merida. The super adorable British singers and TV personalities of “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, Sophie Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland, took to the stage for a performance all their own. It was most definitely an event to remember! Here are some of the highlights from the festivities.
