How I'm Documenting Margot's First Year

To document Margot’s first year, I wanted to do something cute, but also simple. I have always loved the idea of taking weekly photos, capturing her growth and progress for an entire year. But, it always seemed like a BIG job, something that I certainly wouldn’t have time for. Turns out, it’s a lot easier than I thought! With a super simple backdrop and a few cute “props” from her room, I’ve been able to take some pretty adorable photos of Margot each week…

10 Signs Your Baby is No Longer a Newborn

Margot is officially 12 weeks old now, and I’ll be honest, it breaks my heart. I LOVE the newborn stage. LOVE IT. I’m a sucker for teeny tiny babies too small for their clothes, the “newborn baby” smell, and the adorable puppy sounds they make during their first few weeks of life. Now that Margot is 12 weeks old, I’m realizing that she’s not a newborn anymore…

30 Adorable Baby Name Pairs for Twins

I have two friends who are expecting for the very first time, and both of them are pregnant with twins! They have some names picked out, but I thought it would be fun to brainstorm some more possibilities for them. (Ha!) Some people name their twins similarly, giving them names that either have a similar sound (Everly & Oliver,) have the same number of syllables (Mason & Daphne,) or start with the same letter (Lydia & Luke.) As a former teacher, I kind of have a love affair with alliteration, so I put together 30 adorable baby name pairs for twins! What do you think of these?

A Sneaky Green Smoothie for a Hot Summer Day

One trick for getting my babes to eat some veggies is sneaking them into smoothies and popsicles at home! When I first heard about adding leafy greens to my smoothies, I thought there was NO WAY you wouldn’t be able to taste the veggies. But then I gave it a shot and it’s true! You don’t even know they’re in there!

When my girls began to get a little more picky about their food, I decided to give these green smoothies a try. And sure enough, my girls LOVE them. They have no idea how much spinach, kale, and flax seed they’re consuming and it’s awesome. (Muahaha!!!) A lot of times, we’ll freeze these into popsicle molds, too! Perfect for a hot summer day!
