A Newborn Must Have

With a busy toddler running around, having a good swinger or bouncer is a must! There are plenty of times throughout the day that I have to set the baby down to help our 2 year old. This Disney Fairytales Bouncer has been a big hit in our household! Not only for the baby but my 2 year old is in love with it as well. She loves that is has all the Disney Princesses on it and refers to it as “Baby Finley’s Princess Chair”. Take at look at how cute and fun it is…

The Importance of the Unimportant

As parents I think we are conditioned to think we have to keep our kids busy all the time. We fill our days so jam packed with tasks, outings and scheduled play dates that we forget to even give them downtime. Time where they can really be kids, where they can be free. I think some days we need to put aside what we think is “really important” and focus on those unimportant moments with them. Play together, laugh together, maybe go outside together. Kids take on their surroundings, so instead of the playroom head outdoors and let them appreciate the worlds natural playground. I bet you will be surprised at just how creative and imaginative they can get out there.

I didn’t even have time to process any of what was going on and it left me wondering what had just happened. For a few weeks I struggled with feeling defeated and then one day all that changed…

The Joy of Sisterhood

Growing up I think I took for granted that I had 2 sisters. I was the oldest, so I saw them as pesky and bothersome most of the time. As I started getting older though, I was able to look back and realize just how blessed I was to have them to grow up with. They were the true friends that were always there, even if we did fight a lot.  Now as a Mom of two sweet girls, my heart is full for the bond that they will develop.
