Last week, a few days before my younger daughter turned two, we flew back from London after spending a semester there for my husband’s MBA program.
Of course, the 14-hour flight was only the beginning. Once we were back in the States, then it was time to deal with jet lag as we worked with an 8-hour time difference.
If holiday travel is in your plans, here are a couple of tricks for making the transition a little easier:
It can be fun to have all the children in your family have names that go together in some way. Over the years, I’ve seen lots of families choose names for their children that go together in some way. Some themes are subtle, while others are more obvious. Would you do it?
My second daughter definitely still seems like my baby, even though she turned two this week.
She still naps, and uses a pacifier, and loves to be rocked before going to bed while I sing to her (she’s definitely baby enough not to recognize that my voice is pretty poor).
But then I recognize she’s probably not actually a baby anymore.
