an afternoon outside.
Sometimes a day outside is just what you need. For me, with three little ones, many days an afternoon outside is like balm for my mind and heart. It breathes life and refreshment at just the right moment. We pack everything we need, grab our stroller and head out. We head away from responsibilities for a few hours. We leave the phone in the bottom of the stroller and step away to clear our minds and soak in our little ones. Being a parent is a big job! And sometimes a nice afternoon in the beautiful sunshine is just what you need.
tips for toddlers.
Our sweet little babies grow before our very eyes. And before we know it, we have a little toddler on our hands! It happens in a blink of an eye! A dear friend of mine gave me some great little tips once that sometimes work really great with the toddler age. Some of the advice I took and some of it I did not, the best thing is to figure out what works best for you and your family and your little one! You know, you’re their mama… you know better than anyone what they need!
Just in case you are looking for a few tips, I will pass along a few!
baby wearing mama.
I am a huge fan of baby wearing. I love and adore having my babies close and wearing them throughout my days gives me peace and comfort. Knowing they are so close makes my heart swell.
When I had Aiden (as a first time mom) I reaaallllly struggled with sharing him. And baby wearing saved me in a way. I just wore him constantly and never let him down…it brought me a lot of peace in a crazy emotional time. Keeping our little ones close to our heartbeat is such a special gift.
Sulley & Me.
I am married to a film-maker/photographer and something that I adore about who he is and where his passions are, is that he loves to CAPTURE. I too love to capture and between the two of us, we are a pretty great team of documenting all of life’s moments. I feel better about time moving and moments passing if I know that I can tuck a piece of it away with me forever in a picture or a film. My son has a blankie, two-ba, that at times feels like a member of the family. We have so many pictures of two-ba and so many silly stories written down that when the time comes and Aiden doesn’t need two-ba anymore, I will be okay knowing we captured that season of life.
For Ainsleigh, she loves her Sulley. Recently we were doing a quick photoshoot for something else and before we began, Chris grabbed a few of these candid shots of Ainsleigh cuddling her Sulley.
Dalmatian love.
Who doesn’t have a huge soft spot for pups? As the proud owner of two sweet puppies, I have a huge place in my heart for any furry friend. The spots on Disney’s Dalmatians have my heart skipping a beat and they will have yours racing as well. Your little guy or little gal will be begging for more of these adorable get-ups! Too cute!
