my third baby will sleep anywhere.

From the moment my third baby came home, she has been absolutely amazing and easy-going. She has made the transition to a family of five incredibly ideal. I remember with my first, Aiden, he needed to be swaddled, sang to, rocked and fed to go to sleep at all times. Looking back it might have been actually more me than him. I was worried and stressed and always second guessing myself as a new mama. I think that rubbed off on him.

But now, with number three, I am more relaxed and in turn it has made baby number three, Apple, incredibly relaxed. This sweet child will fall asleep anywhere. She rolls with the flow and accepts the chaos happily. She’s a total sweetheart.

on my shelf.

I have a few very specific moments in my life where I can remember, even a a very young age, thinking- I need to freeze this. I need to freeze how I feel and put it somewhere deep inside me forever. The first time I ever did this, I was 5 years old and it was the day of my very first gymnastics meet. We were at the swimming pool and I had about an hour before we were going to leave and go get ready for the meet. I was in a lawn chair beside the pool, beads of water were beginning to slowly dry up from the hot sun blazing down on me. Not a cloud in the sky. I can remember looking down at my toes, dangling over the edge of the chair & thinking “I want to remember this moment for the rest of my life.” I wanted to remember the nerves, the excitement, the pride- I wanted to freeze a piece of it and carry it always.

DB Style: Sunshine Girl.

I have called both of my girls my “sunshine girls” since they were born. They represent such light in my life! Disney Baby has such an amazing variety of clothes that all of my kiddos adore. Lately, with spring & summer approaching I have been especially drawn to bright spring colors! So in honor of my sunshine girls, a fun Disney Baby slideshow!

L.A.U.G.H.T.E.R.

When I think about my childhood or when I think about my own children, one of the first words that comes to mind is LAUGHTER! Sweet giggles with our babies, innocence, happiness, pure delight. Some moments my stomach hurts from all the giggling! Little ones will do that to us won’t they? It’s nearly impossible to not break into a gigantic smile when you meet a baby eye to eye! Especially if it’s your own!

I thought it would be fun to journey through a few words that I would use to describe motherhood, babies and this amazing journey we are all on!
