Each month shares two astrological signs, and babies born in the beginning of June, between May 22nd and June 21st, are considered Gemini. Known for being great communicators, Geminis love to flit from activity to activity, trying as many different things as possible. Character traits often used to describe the Gemini include talkative, clever, witty, and expressive. How do these characteristics translate to babies? You might see, or hear, lots and lots of babbling, and maybe even some early aggressive movements as their high physical energy takes over.
Some Advice For The Parents Of A Gemini
Try encouraging your Gemini baby to master a skill or subject before moving onto the next thing. And try guiding them to follow through with commitments and activities before deeming them boring. This can help from the time they start trying to sort blocks all the way up to sports in and homework when they reach grade school.
The Cancer Baby
Babies born June 22nd-July 23rd are considered Cancers. These Cancer babies may be filled with lots of emotions and feelings, needing lots of routine in their daily lives to feel content and secure. They are often considered generous, caring and thoughtful, wonderful traits to foster and nourish. But with that, they can be tender-hearted.
Some Advice For Parents Of A Cancer Baby
You and baby will benefit by giving baby a structured routine throughout her day so she can feel secure and happy, allowing the day to go smoother. Also, give a lot of reassurance and even instruction to help build up baby’s confidence, especially when trying new tasks.
The Year Of The Snake
Your 2013 May baby will be born in the year of the snake. According to the Chinese Zodiac, those born in the year of the snake are considered thoughtful and wise, and approach problems logically and rationally. They are also thought to have a sure touch with money, and are determined and ambitious
June is one of the only birth months to count 3 stones as their birthstone. Beginning with Pearl, the most common of the 3 birthstones, it is one of the oldest used stones, and was a favorite gem all the way back in the Roman empire. Pearls are unique in that they are the only gem cultured from the sea and require no polishing to reveal their natural beauty. A lovely birthstone option indeed.
A more modern gem in that it was more recently discovered in the late 1800′s in Russia, it is an extremely rare stone, best known for its ability to change colors. In daylight or fluorescent light it is a lovely green color, and in incandescent light it turns to a lovely reddish/purple color.
Such a cool sounding gemstone with an even cooler history, moonstones are often thought to be sacred and have the ability to bring good fortune to its owner. Available in a variety of colors including peach, green and blue, moonstones are found in Sri Lanka, the United States, Australia and even Madagascar.
From Flag Day to Father’s Day, June is a bit more mild in terms of huge holidays to celebrate, although for kids, it’s the best month as it marks the end of the school year and the start of SUMMER!
June Celebrity Sightings
From Johnny Depp to Blake Shelton to the famous Olsen twins, June is home to a ton of celebrity birthdays. Of course though, the most important star born in June is your own little June baby, the star of your family.
