Wishing a Very Happy Birthday to Elvie’s Favorite Guy

Today we are in Nice, France, and there will be cake. It’s my husband’s birthday, and we will celebrate big. Jarod is a dedicated husband, and an amazing dad, and we are so lucky to have him in our lives. Our girls call him Ababi, and all day long I hear Elvie saying his name, waiting for him to get home. “Ababi! Ababi! Ababi!” and then a pause, “Ababi?” I assure her that he will be home after work, and when he finally does arrive, she can’t wait to be in his arms. Their bond is strong. To celebrate the man who is Ababi to my daughters, I’ve gathered favorite photos of Jarod and Elvie from this past year. They’re not all in focus, or well lit, but to me the beauty is in the relationship that is so evident despite photo quality. He embodies love for our girls, and we are so lucky to have him in our lives. Happiest of birthdays to our Ababi, our very favorite guy.
