Stories from the Toddler Files

I love having a two-year-old so much. Mine is just full of personality now, saying things that make me laugh, understanding way more than I would have expected, and imitating me in hilarious ways.

Last week, while we were on vacation, we went to a little crepe shop to order dinner. I told the girl at the counter what I wanted and then Ella, sitting on my hip, leaned forward toward the girl.

With a very serious look on her face, she said, “And I want D-W-Q-V-S-N.”

Then, quite pleased with herself, she turned back toward me and whispered, “I told her I wanted milk.”
