Our Friendly Little Traveler: 10 Photos of Elvie Making Friends on Vacation

Elvie has always been friendly. Even when we first brought her home with us and had to check into the hospital, she would make eye contact with anyone who came to the door of her room, smiling. Now that she’s a toddler, waving and saying hi are her methods of choice, and she will go out of her way to get noticed. It doesn’t matter whether we are in our home city or away — she wants to make friends. So of course, on vacation it was no different. Here are 10 of my favorite photos of Elvie making friends on our trip.

Don’t worry – she didn’t miss the new friends before they got away. They were all smiles for her once she turned her attention their way.

Swimsuit or no, she is looking for one thing at the beach, and it’s not shells. It’s friends, of course!

  • It had been too long since she'd made an animal friend.

The geese at the park were more than happy to remedy that problem. They only wished she’d had some goose treats with her.

And Elvie? She is GREAT at laughing! Now they’ll be friends for life!

Then, once the friend has handed one over, she can use it to blow kisses. Who knows? Maybe the friend will want to give her another!
