My Daily Parenting Mantra
Newborns can be overwhelming at times, and I’ve quickly realized that all of the parenting books, tools and gadgets offer little support when I’m having “one of those days.” Instead, I’ve taped a piece of paper in various parts of my home with the following words scribbled onto it:

We have but this one moment in time.
And when there are days full of spit-up, endless diaper changes and a fussy baby, I’m reminded that this hour will pass. We have but this one moment in time.
And when there are nights full of rocking, nursing and crying, I’m reminded that these hours will pass. We have but this one moment in time.
But most of all, when there are snuggles, kisses and smiles, I’m reminded that these fleeting minutes will pass oh, so quickly.
We have but this one moment in time.
