As a stay-at-home mom, you definitely get into a rhythm. Some days, that rhythm can be very mundane and you have to find excitement in the little things, so there are a lot of cheers that accompany mail time. Does this sound familiar to anybody else? The daily ritual goes a little something like this:
First, I shake the mail key and Beck scoots to the front door and starts to clap. Then, we walk out to the mailbox where Beck points out the airplanes flying overhead and anything else that catches his eye. After Beck struggles to try and put the key in the hole, I do it and grab the mail and Beck promptly jerks it from my grip. We land back in the house where Beck plops down on his chair (the first step) and rifles through it all then leaves it scattered when he gets distracted by another item. Repeat the next day.
Ah, motherhood — teaching you to appreciate the mundane.
