Let's Party! 'Apple of My Eye' First Birthday Party
Fall is fast approaching with its cool and crisp weather. This season yields the tastiest apples! With the abundance of apples all around, fall is the perfect time to host an apple themed first birthday party. One mother took her inspiration from her daughter, the apple of her eye, and used the apple theme throughout the party. Together, Amber Lay Events and Hostess With the Mostess partnered together to create the custom party printables available for sale at the HWTM Etsy shop. Check out all the delicious details of this ‘Apple of My Eye’ themed party and recreate one for your little apple this fall.
The apple of her parent’s eyes, birthday girl Brielle! Her dress fits right in with the adorable color scheme of apple green, apple red, coral pink, and teal.
A simple but tasty assortment of light bites were just right for this party.
Apple quinoa salad, sliced apples, apples and cheese plate, apple chips, and mini caramelized apple puffs made up this apple-licious spread.
Focusing on the apple theme makes it easy to present tasty and quick snacks. A collection of great cheese, an assortment of crackers, and fresh apples make for a lovely and healthy presentation.
The apple theme carried over into the drinks as well. Apple sangria, hot apple cider, mini apple shaped apple juice, and customized bottles of water gave guests a variety of apple friendly options.
I love the addition of apple chips. A great healthy alternative to potato chips typically served at children’s parties.
A wonderful activity that stays tied to the theme were these adorable DIY apple totes. Sliced apples, paints, brushes, and canvas tote bags were all available for the guests to create their own take home apple stamped tote.
Book page apples were created as really cute accents for the party. Combined with the custom party printables, the décor gave a vintage rustic vibe while still staying modern.
I love the natural aspect that flowers and plants bring to an event. It makes a party feel more like home. These florals play off the color scheme and look just stunning in blue toned mason jars atop a darling apple themed fabric runner.
Make these charming apple candles by coring the top of the apple and inserting a tea light.
For safety, use apples that can stand alone and keep out of reach of children.
Pictures of baby throughout her first year, always add a wonderful and personal touch to a first birthday party. I especially love how a photo shoot with apples was included to match the theme.
Time for dessert! There was no apple shortage here! Caramel apple fondue, apple pie, apple crumb cake, spiced apple cupcakes, and a vanilla ribbon iced smash cake all held a special place on this sweet dessert table.
Homemade cupcakes topped with custom party printables are the perfect combo for a personal and homey treat.
DIY Candy Apples
Such a fun and super delicious addition to the dessert table! Apples ready to dip and top were available for guests to enjoy.
I’m in love with the recent wave of photos that feature the smash cake atop Baby’s high chair. This image does not disappoint! A beautiful cake, atop a gorgeous cake stand, resting on a vintage high chair, adorned with a faux apple garland. It’s perfection top to bottom!
I love how elegant a ribbon iced cake looks. The diy star cake toppers are a perfect way to include the rustic stars featured in the rest of the party décor.
Guests went home with homemade apple butter in these adorable — and recycled! — decorated baby food jars. The ‘thanks a bunch!’ tags are a perfect good-bye.
