Elvie is Displeased! 15 Photos of Our Happy Baby Being Grumpy
Elvie has always been a happy baby. It’s easy to make her smile or even laugh, and she greets almost everyone with a grin. Lately, though, she’s been making her opinions known more, and sometimes those opinions are not favorable. Because she smiles so much of the time, it makes it incredibly funny when she is perturbed. It’s just not like her! Here I’ve put together fifteen of my favorite photos of Elvie being displeased.
Could this baby ever be grumpy?
Who wouldn't be grumpy in this situation?
Newly arrived in the USA, we checked her into the hospital and they started to poke and prod and make her uncomfortable. Her refusal to smile is justified.
She asked for that bottle half a second ago, and it's not here yet!
I’m pretty sure Elvie thought she was dealing with an amateur. Is it really that hard to get a bottle into her mouth the moment she requires one? Yes, Elvie, it is. Wait two more seconds.
How dare we try to feed her!
The was the beginning of Elvie’s picky baby phase. Sweet potatoes did not inspire a sweet face.
She said NO MEDICINE!
Every day we kept giving her medicine, even though she made sure we knew she didn’t like it. What was our problem, anyway? It was like we wanted to look after her health.
She just had major surgery, and I STILL wouldn't hand over my phone.
I mean, really, hadn’t she suffered enough to be given her own smart phone?
She wanted to sit up, and no one was helping her.
There are very few things that Elvie won’t keep trying to do on her own, and rolling over to sit up is one of them. She asks for so little help, why can’t I just do this for her whenever she wants?
I took something she wanted to play with.
It was a safety issue, but she doesn’t care about safety.
This straw was fun, until it wasn't.
She suddenly realized that this was not a bottle, and she was hungry.
I only gave her half the banana, and Zinashi was eating the other half.
She really wanted half a banana for each of her hands. Why can’t we just let her have all the food that is on everyone’s plates?
I put the airplane seat belt on her.
She’d prefer to just fall off the seat during turbulence.
I was taking pictures instead of getting her out of her high chair.
Using the napkin means she’s done! What, am I new?
Zinashi took the calculator she was playing with.
She started with a look of displeasure, but it escalated to a tackle. I just kept my distance.
I wasn't mixing her bottle fast enough.
Will I ever learn? Bottles must be kept mixed and ready to go at a moment’s notice.
I wouldn't let her crawl off the big bed.
The bed in the master bedroom is tall, and I am not a fan of ER visits for preventable concussions. Elvie doesn’t care. She wants down, and she wants down NOW. If only I would take her feelings into consideration.
