Disney Story - Let Your Stories Shine!

Last week, Disney launched their newest app, Story, and it’s already one of my most used, fun and user friendly app that I play with on a daily basis.  As a mother of 3, I yearn, on a daily basis, to capture as many little bits and pieces of our lives to hold onto as memories for years to come.  Time moves fast, and 3 growing kids move even faster, and I often don’t have the opportunity to quickly whip out my digital camera to capture all the sweet and happy moments I’d like to.  But my phone is with me 99% of the time and I now use that to capture a big portion of our moments.

With the advent of the Story app, I can now turn all of those hundreds of iPhone pictures I take on a weekly basis into simple, sweet stories we can all look back on and relive as often as we like.

So how does it work?  Well, they really couldn’t have made the app much more easy, or user friendlier to manage.  The app automatically takes a grouping of your photos that were captured around the same date and time, and preloads them to a story for you.  You can then take a preloaded story, and quickly and easily delete and add photos as need be, including video.  The amazing part of the app though, for me anyhow, is the ability to add text so that you can truly turn everyday moments into magical fairy tales or simple little stories for your family to share and reminisce over.  There’s options to change the color and layout, text size and font, but honestly, I’ve stuck to the default design for all of my stories so far, because I love the clean and simple layout.  Eventually though, I’m sure I’ll play around with the design, but for now I’m happy just editing and creating as many stories as I can think up.

Next week I’ll share a big, big story with you all; about the time I took all 3 kids to Disneyland (and it was the first time for the 2 youngest!).  It’s an exciting story to tell, so I want to build some anticipation!  But for today, I thought I’d share with you a simple story of playtime between Daddy and baby, and how it can look so different, but still be just as special, as playtime with Mommy.  Enjoy, and please let me know if you have any questions, or if you have tried the new Story app yet!  I’d love to hear about your experience with it!
