Calm the Lion with SIMBA Dreamy Sounds Soother by Cloud b
Thanks to Disney for sponsoring this post and for giving me SIMBA Dreamy Sounds Soother from Cloud b for free.
I going to be straight up honest, when I had my first baby, I didn’t see the point in those “white noise” and sound type machines to help my daughter get to sleep. She could sleep just fine basically anywhere we laid her! In her crib, in her stroller, in my arms, anywhere!
And then I had a second baby who was an incredibly light sleeper. Who would only sleep in the darkest of rooms, and only if the temperature was *just* right. You know – not too hot, not too cool.
And then about five years later I had a fourth baby, who for a lack of a better place to sleep him, now shares the nursery with his 3-year-old brother.
A baby and a 3-year-old sharing a bedroom. Let that sink in for a moment. Yup, a total potential nightly nightmare. Literally.
So that thing about me thinking sound machines were for suckers? Yeah, I totally take that back. Because sound soothers are completely awesome, and every single night I rely on our SIMBA Dreamy Sounds Soother from Cloud b to get the boys to bed without incident.
My plan is actually pretty brilliant, if I do say so myself.
Baby Paul (16 months old) goes to bed every night right around 7:30. And right as I turn the lights out for sweet dreams and good-nights, I turn SIMBA on (we love the “waterfall” sound) for 45 minutes with the handy-dandy timer on SIMBA’s back.
Then at 8 pm, when Paul is fast asleep and brother Gage is finally ready to call it a day, we sneak into the room while playing the “quite game”. Because of the noise maker, 9 times out of 10 baby Paul will stay asleep while we tuck the 3 year old in.
I told you it was a brilliant plan.
