Apple Picking, My Favorite September Tradition

Fall is without a doubt my favorite time of year. It always has been. From the cooler temps and changing leaves to things like apple picking and pumpkin carving, it brings back so many wonderful childhood memories. Now that I’m a mom myself, I look forward to this time of year with my little ones. I really try to make the most of this beautiful season by being fun and festive. September is perfect for one of my very favorite traditions — apple picking!

Each September, our family takes a weekend afternoon to go apple picking. It’s one of my favorite things to do this time of year! From the photos ops (like the one below!) to the yummy fruits we get to take home, it’s such a fun and simple outing to do with the ones you love. Many apple orchards nowadays have “extras” too, like petting zoos, fresh homemade apple cider, and more. The one we like to visit has an alpaca farm! If you’re looking for a local orchard to visit this month, check out Pick Your Own. It’ll let you search by state, zip code, and more!
