An Activity Passed Down From My Mom

One of the things I find really fun about being a mother is repeating activities I remember from my own childhood.

This particular activity, one I remember my mom introducing in an effort to keep five children quiet during church, has quickly become a favorite of my own two-year-old.

We call it “finger faces,” and the good news is that you need absolutely no artistic ability whatsoever.

Sometimes, if I’m feeling REALLY adventurous, I draw some hair to go with the faces.

And then, with one baby wipe, all the faces go away. A perfect activity for a wiggly toddler.
