A Simple Cake Smash Photo Shoot: Just Add Baby!

Last week, baby Paul celebrated his first birthday. And while we didn’t throw him a lavish party (or any party, for that matter), we still celebrate my little guy in a few simple ways, making sure he felt extra special and very loved on his big day.

He opened a few gifts, we sang an off-key version of “Happy Birthday”, and of course we ate cake. The celebration culminated with a morning after, anything-goes, smash cake session.

  • For such aggressive eat, he did manage to stay relatively clean. Yes, my boy has manners.

I have to give a huge thanks to my dear friend Casey, for working magic with her camera. I will treasure these beautiful and simplistic photos forever.
