When I found out I was pregnant with Baby #3, I was worried we had outgrown our home. We rent a small farmhouse, so I wasn’t sure she’d be able to have a room of her own. During my pregnancy, our older daughters (ages 2 and 3) began to share a room, which opened up a tiny little room that was perfect for a nursery! Since we rent, we aren’t allowed to paint and we have to be careful with what we put on the walls. With some inspiration and a little bit of planning, we put together a really sweet nursery for our Margot. It’s small, but so cozy. It’s quaint, in the loveliest of ways! Best of all, she seems to love it! Click through to see the details of her sweet room…
Quaint & Cozy...
Perfect for this baby girl!
I wanted pastel colors (mint and pink, mostly) with touches of antique or vintage!
Pink Vintage Dresser
We found an old dresser on Craigslist and my sister in-law painted it for us! I LOVE how it turned out. Instead of a changing table, we use this!
Above the dresser is a fun wall full of all kinds of things – a DIY-ed chalkboard, a dress that used to be MINE!, and some lovely artwork!
This rocker has been in my family for generations! Originally I wanted to recover it to match the mint and pink, but never got around to it. With a sheepskin rug, a minty pillow, and a neat woven footstool, this is my favorite corner of the room!
Basket for Blankets
There’s not a lot of storage in Margot’s room. To make up for that, I’ve got some things in baskets and bins. I LOVE this deep basket. It’s where I keep all of her warm, snuggly blankets!
Since we live on a farm, I just could not help myself with this adorable bamboo mobile!
Mobile & Garland
Here’s a close-up of the mobile, as well as the adorable garland a friend made for me!
This sweet little sleepy cloud pillow is the perfect addition to her crib!
Atop Margot’s bookshelf, we’ve got some sweet little things. A photo of the 2 of us before we had children, a rattle and dress that used to be mine, a wooden antique “M” block, and more.
Quaint & Cozy
Like I said, it’s a pretty tiny room, but I think it’s pretty sweet…
Little Miss Margot
I think she likes it!
