A Disney-Themed Date Night (or Day)

So just how big a Disney fan are you? Sure you dress your little Minnie in her adorable personalized body suit. And you watch your little Lightning McQueen racing his way to toddlerhood in style. But are you a part of D23 — The Official Disney Fan Club?

Well, even if you’re not, you can enjoy D23′s Disney Fanniversary celebration. This wonderful event, commemorating dozens of unforgettable Disney milestones celebrating landmark anniversaries in 2013, is on its way to ten cities around the country. If you’re near LA, San Diego, Orlando, Chicago, Washington D.C., Newark, Boston, Seattle, or San Francisco, break out the baby carrier (and your favorite Disney Baby attire, of course) or call a sitter.

During a 90-minute presentation, a Disney archivist and D23 team member will feature beloved movies, classic characters, favorite attractions, and entertainment spectaculars at Disney parks, The Disney Channel, Disney Cruise Line, and the momentous founding of The Walt Disney Company. (Which was, of course, in 1923.) Think rich behind-the-scenes stories, never-before-seen film footage, concept art, photography, and exclusive interviews with some of your favorite Disney Legends and luminaries.

After the presentation, show off your Disney character (don’t forget pics if you opt for a baby-free outing) as you mix and mingle with the presenters and other fans. You’ll also get a glimpse of a rare treasure from the Walt Disney Archives that will be on display.

This is a great chance to form special Disney memories to share with your little character for years to come.

Tickets (D23 Member Price: $21; General Admission Price: $35) go on sale Tuesday, February 5, 2013 for D23 members and Tuesday, February 12, 2013 for the general public.  To get the dates, times, tickets, and details click here.
