A Bright and Happy Room for a Two-Year-Old

I’ve noticed a common theme among the children’s rooms I find myself most attracted to, they usually have a neutral backdrop like white walls and then they have colorful and slightly quirky details throughout. It makes for a very cheery space. Take for instance this room of a two-year-old girl from Australia, a prime example of a well designed children’s room.

The colorful honeycomb ball chandelier hanging from the ceiling might be my favorite detail of the whole room. It’s so cheery.

I like how the backdrop of the room is very neutral and then all of the decorative details are infused with color.

The felt ball wreath sets the stage for the rest of the room, colorful and happy. And the book nook is so cozy.

Styling shelves is not as easy as it looks and these are spot on. A nice mix of objects and good layering.
