A Big Girl Room
My Mom always made the most special rooms for us growing up. They were decorated perfectly with bright colors and matching wallpaper. With a move to a new house this month, we took the chance to transition our daughter from a nursery to her very own big girl room. I couldn’t have been more excited to decorate…
Just like my mom, I wanted the room to be bright and full of life. Just not so matchy, matchy as ours were growing up. I was thinking more “perfectly imperfect” as I went forward with decorating. I wanted clean white walls so the colors really popped, but weren’t overwhelming. My daughter really loves to read, so we made sure the books were the focus of her room. We put a few toys up there but kept the majority of them down in the playroom. We added special touches with new artwork and hand-me-downs I have saved from when I was a little girl.
Rowan loves her new little room and so do we!
