20 Colorful Baby Names

A few years ago, I heard the name “Navy” for the first time, and immediately loved it.

Since then, I’ve kept an eye out for baby names that come from colors, for both girls and boys.

Here are 20 of my favorites:

I love this vibrant name (and it’s making a comeback, like lots of old-fashioned names!)

  • Hazel

    Hazel

No matter what color your baby’s eyes end up, this is a great name.

  • Flint

    Flint

It’s harder to come by boy names that are derived from colors, but this one is a winner.

  • Blue

Take a page out of Beyonce’s book with this baby name.

  • Lilac

    Lilac

Perfect for a baby born in the spring!

    Scarlett

Here’s a name bursting with life and passion (and you can’t help but think of Gone with the Wind).

  • Sage
