Four months ago, we celebrated our son’s first birthday. There were so many themes we considered, from superhero to carnival theme, but ultimately we decided on a Jake and the Never Land Pirates birthday party. I had so much fun getting everything together for his big day. From the ‘piratey’ inspired food to fun games, here are a few pictures I thought you might enjoy, in case you’re planning your own pirate-themed party.
Jake and the Never Land Pirates Birthday Party
You can’t have a Jake and the Never Land Pirates party without dressing up, of course. We dressed up our little guy as Jake and we got dressed up as pirates too. Arrrrgh!
I made these invitations using recycled grocery bags and cardstock. Then, I lightly burned the edges to give it a rustic feel.
We had this cake made for us, and then bought Jake and the Never Land Pirates figurines from Disney Store and placed them on top of the cake.
Catch of the Day
We served ‘piratey’ inspired food, such as these gold fish crackers and called them the “Catch of the Day.”
This inflatable pirate ship is supposed to be a cooler, but the kids had so much fun pretending they were actual pirates in it.
Jake and the Never Land Pirates Food Labels
I also made these food labels, which always add a nice touch to the table.
